It has snuck up on us again! The 4th of July is Saturday, less than a week away. Here are some insider tips on the best 4th of July action in and around Winter Park, Colorado.
Daytime Fun:
Town of Granby Parade and Flyover:
Time: 10:55am

Each year the Town of Granby hosts a fantastic 4th of July Parade. Starting at 10:55 the High Country Flyers will be flying over Main Street, making this year’s parade extra special. The parade will be kicking off at 11:00am complete with horses, groups, and lots of candy being thrown. At Noon there will be a party in Polhamus Park where people are invited to picnic and enjoy live music.
Granby Ranch Lawn Party:
Time: 1-5pm
Location: Granby Ranch Resort
Admission: Free

All are welcome to join Granby Ranch for this year’s 4th of July Lawn Party!
This year’s line up includes:
An outdoor grill with drinks and snacks from 1-5pm
Bounce house and lawn games all afternoon
Kenny Lee Young performing live music from 2-5pm
Free face panting from 1:30-5pm
A free photo booth from 2-5pm
Free snow cones and cotton candy while supplies last.
Nighttime Fun and Fireworks:
Winter Park Fireworks:
Time: 6-10pm (The fireworks wont start until after dark.)
Location: Hideaway Park

This year Winter Park is moving the fireworks downtown to Hideaway Park. Pack a cooler and a picnic blanket to enjoy fun all evening. Parking will be limited downtown so consider carpooling, walking, or biking.
If you want to get away from the crowds, the fireworks will be visible throughout the region. Set up in Grand Park for a perfect view, or hike up by Meadowridge, or the local BLM land nearby to enjoy the fireworks.
Don’t forget food and drinks for your picnic! Stop by Icebox Liquors to grab a bottle of wine a six pack, or some snacks to enjoy while watching the fireworks.
Grand Lake Fireworks:
Time: 10-11pm
Location: Downtown Grand Lake

Grand Lake is known for some of the most stunning fireworks in the state. Set up camp in downtown Grand Lake, or anywhere around the lake for a spectacular show. The fireworks reflect off the lake, creating a mirror effect that takes fireworks to a whole new level.
