Summertime events in Grand Park and the Fraser Valley area
Greetings from Grand Park! Summer’s in full swing here in the Colorado Rockies, and the Winter Park & Fraser area has a great big lineup of summertime events planned! Plenty of concerts, festivals, and other events are scheduled around Grand Park.
This summer’s live music abounds – the 12th annual Blues From The Top Festival begins June 27, which is coming up soon. July 5th marks the Winter Park SolShine Music Festival, headlined this year by G. Love & Special Sauce. The Winter Park Jazz Festival, now in its 32nd year, begins July 19th. The Winter Park Music Festival begins August 2nd, with Eddie Money headlining this year’s event.
In addition to live concerts, there are even more summer events planned in Winter Park. Winter Park’s Alpine Art Fair is scheduled for July 19, featuring work from a wide variety of artists and craftsmen. August 9 is the date of the famed Winter Park Beer Festival, when guests are invited to taste samples from over 30 different microbreweries – cheers!
Grand County is also known as Mountain Bike Capital USA, and plenty of biking events are planned this summer too. The area’s Epic Singletrack Series of mountain bike races begin June 14, and take place every two weeks throughout the summer. The increasingly popular Colorado Freeride Festival, July 24-27, features some of the best mountain bikers in the world as they showcase their skills and compete for prize money.
The Grand Park area also hosts several weekly events throughout the course of the summer. Thursday evenings from 6-8pm is the High-Note Thursdays concert series in Winter Park, featuring different musical performances every week. The town of Fraser hosts Tuesday Picnic in the Park, a weekly concert series on Tuesdays from 6-8pm.
