Highway Improvements near Grand Park
Big updates in and around the Grand Park community! Grand Park is currently working with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and the Town of Winter Park to upgrade the stretch of U.S. Highway 40 that traverses past Grand Park.
The particular stretch that is designated for improvement is about two miles long, running from King’s Crossing Road in downtown Winter Park to roughly past the fire station between Winter Park and Fraser – you know, the stretch of highway past the Grand Park community.
The highway will be expanded from two lanes to four, and two new stoplights will be added: one stoplight at the entrance to Rendezvous, and one right in front of The Village at Grand Park. The expanded lanes and stoplights will improve traffic through the Fraser Valley.
The highway improvements will also make it easier for guests to visit the various businesses in The Village at Grand Park. Indeed, the extra lanes and stoplights will improve access from the highway to The Foundry, Icebox Liquors, the Grand Park Community Recreation Center, and Grand Park’s neighborhoods and open spaces.
Our efforts to improve the highway will improve the flow of traffic through the Fraser Valley, and will also improve the accessibility to and from Grand Park. These efforts are all part of our grander efforts to make Grand Park the finest real estate in the Winter Park and Fraser area, not to mention make us one of the finest mountain communities in all of Colorado!
