Grand Classic Golf Tournament
The Grand Park area is known as a mountain golf mecca, with no less than four golf courses in the county. That’s why we at Grand Park sure are excited for the 15th annual Grand Classic Golf Tournament!
The tournament is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, June 13-14 (that’s less than a month away!), and will be played at nearby Pole Creek and Granby Ranch golf courses. Participating golfers will alternate courses on Friday and Saturday, so participants have a chance to play both beautiful courses.
Golfers begin the tournament with a shotgun start (you know, when all golfers tee off simultaneously from different holes), and will be played with a “two-person best ball of foursome” format.
The Grand Classic Golf Tournament includes two rounds of golf, one Friday and one Saturday. Additional festivities include dinner, a silent auction, and live entertainment Friday night, with a putting contest, cocktails, and an awards ceremony Saturday. Participating foursomes receive greens fees, a cart, and range balls, in addition to prizes, a tournament gift, and ditty bags for all four golfers.
Tournament beneficiaries include the Grand Foundation, which is a philanthropic organization serving Grand County, as well as the Fraser Valley Recreation District Youth Programs – you know, like the youth programs offered at the Grand Park Community Recreation Center. It’s great golf for a great cause!
From co-hosting the Ride the Rockies bike tour, to the Grand Classic Golf Tournament, there’s plenty of Grand Park area fun in store for this summer! Remember to keep checking our blog throughout the season for more events and area info!
