You may think that the quiet mountain town of Winter Park, Colorado may be lacking in with things to do at night…but you’d be wrong. Although this idyllic ski resort town is intimate, that doesn’t mean it’s residents don’t know how to have a good time. In fact, Winter Park is home to some of Fraser and Grand County’s finest pubs, taverns and even a distillery!

Hideaway Park Brewery

Hideaway Park Brewery feels like your best friends bar. It’s owned and operated by two brothers. Andy is the brewer, and Sam is the bartender! Between serving patrons, you’ll often see them operating the brewery and checking levels in the back. This is an amazing part of being in an intimate craft beer setting, and these two have pioneered the scene in Winter Park.
Keep in mind that Hideaway Park does not offer food. There is popcorn available, but that’s it. However, Andy and Sam encourage patrons to bring their own food with them, which means you can swing into one of the restaurants in town and grab carryout on your way to try one of Hideaway Parks’ signature flights. Did we mention there’s live music on the patio and board games available for you and your friends?
Idlewild Spirits Distillery
- Location: Winter Park, CO
There’s something to be said for brotherly love in Winter Park! Idlewild Spirits Distillery is owned and operated by another set of brothers. Dave and Jeff pursued their passion and opened the first distillery to ever be located in Winter Park. The pair distills all their vodka, gin and whiskey in-house, and carefully craft some of the best cocktails in the county with unique flavors.
Idlewild Spirits Distillery has a moody, romantic vibe. Reminiscent of an intimate speakeasy, you’ll find dim lights, rich wood, and crackling fireplaces inside. Happy hour food and drink specials are available daily, with another round of drink specials beginning at 9 pm.
The Foundry Cinema & Bowl
- Location: Grand Park in Fraser, CO
If you’d prefer to catch a movie, you can do that right in the comfort of Winter Park. The Foundry Cinema & Bowl is the only business of its type in Winter Park. Here, you can catch current movies on one of their screens- but that’s not even the best part. You can order wood-fired pizza, appetizers, and sandwiches before the movie and enjoy them in the luxurious reclining seats with swivel trays. Did we mention you can order from the full bar as well?
If you’d rather not catch a film, or just need something to do with your friends until the movie starts, you can make use of one of the eight bowling lanes available. Drinks, bowling, and current feature films? What’s not to love about that?
Fraser Valley Distilling

A brands new distillery has opened just outside Winter Park in the town of Fraser, CO. They offer a wide range of fantastic locally made spirits, from whiskey, to gin, to vodka. They offer tours of the facility and it’s a great place to go try some craft spirits after a long day on the slopes. They will host various events throughout the year and offer food. Fraser Valley Distilling has been a great addition to the area and run by a terrific family!
Ullr’s Tavern
- Location: Winter Park, CO
While a lot of locations on this list are low-key taverns and pubs, Ullr’s Tavern markets itself specifically as a nightlife establishment! There is always something going on at Ullr’s, which is open seven days a week from 4 pm to 2 am. Happy hour runs from 4 pm to 7 pm every night!
Depending on the night you choose to head to Ullr’s, you’ll encounter a different type of entertainment. On Monday, you can enjoy Open Mic Night with your friends. If you happen in on a Tuesday, be prepared for Lip Sync night! Wednesday is for the ladies, with a Ladies Night Dance Party- and ladies drink free! On Thursday, you can score free pool, and on Friday and Saturday, you’ll enjoy live music and DJs. You’ll find standard domestic and import labels here, but if you’re feeling crafty (or just want to sample a few different brews), you can build-your-own-six-pack for $10. You can include any single bottles of beer in the six-pack, which means you can rack up quite an assortment from around the States…and even the world!
