Low-guilt convenience snacking comes to the Fraser Valley

Snazzy Snacks: Have you been to the new Winter Park Market yet? It should change the way you think about grabbing a quick snack at a convenience store. The natural-products shop in the Cornerstone property is airy, comfortable and attractive — everything most convenience stores are not.
You can still gas-up and grab a bag of chips and a drink to go, but the food will be better for you. Look for snack foods at the front of the store, produce along the east wall, grocery items in the center, cosmetics and supplements toward the back. The large deli space should be open soon offering sandwiches and other prepared foods.
Don't think organic or natural foods and convenience go together? Think again. The bag of cheese and jalapeno-flavored popcorn I bought for a late lunch last week was every bit as messy and satisfying as that found in a traditional convenience store, just somewhat guilt-free. At least that's what I'm telling myself.
