Christmas in Grand Park
Happy Holidays from Grand Park! Snow is accumulating in the area, and Grand Park has become a Winter Wonderland! The cross-country ski trails are open in Grand Park’s Open Space, and residents have been enjoying the opportunity to ski right out their back doors!
There are plenty of fun Christmas events planned around the Grand Park area as well. The Winter Park Resort will be hosting its annual Christmas celebrations, complete with carolers, dancing trees, and a visit from Santa himself! The resort will also be serving holiday dinner, including a Christmas buffet at the Sunspot Restaurant on the mountain. Winter Park will also feature its Christmas Eve torchlight parade, in which a procession of torch-bearing skiers comes down the mountain. The evening’s festivities are then capped off with a spectacular Christmas fireworks show!
The Grand Park area’s other downhill ski resort, Granby Ranch, also has plenty planned for Christmas. The resort’s holiday festivities include old-fashioned wagon rides, a Christmas movie pajama party, a Christmas photo booth, Christmas carolers, and a tasty Christmas brunch. Additionally, Santa will also be visiting Granby Ranch, and will even be skiing with guests for a few runs! That’s right – you and your family can ski with Santa at Granby Ranch!
Several other area guest resorts will host Christmas celebrations as well. The Devil’s Thumb Ranch is offering a gourmet three-course dinner, specially prepared by their acclaimed chef just for Christmas. The Snow Mountain Ranch further adds to the area’s holiday festivities by hosting their annual “Mountain Messiah” Christmas concert, performed in the ranch’s own Whispering Pines Chapel.
These are just a few of the fun holiday events scheduled in the Grand Park area. Of course, residents may certainly be tempted to just spend Christmas together in the cozy comfort of their Grand Park mountain homes! The Grand Park Village also has dining and shopping options as well. Grand Park’s own Icebox Liquor Store is renowned for their custom-wrapped gift baskets, which make for a perfect Christmas present!
